Former Nba Star And Lakers Legend To Meet With Team Officials

Lakers Formally Interview JJ Redick for Head Coaching Job

Former NBA Star and Lakers Legend to Meet with Team Officials

Redick, who has no prior coaching experience in the NBA, is reportedly the front-runner for the Lakers' head-coaching job.

Former NBA shooting guard JJ Redick, who has no prior coaching experience in the league, will undergo his most formal interview for the Lakers head-coaching job on Monday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Redick, who played 15 seasons in the NBA, has been talking to the Lakers about their head-coaching job since Darvin Ham was fired and the search began, although how seriously the Lakers are considering him is unknown.

The Lakers are reportedly also considering other candidates for their head-coaching job, including former Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts and Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson.

Redick, who is known for his sharp shooting and basketball IQ, has been a vocal critic of the Lakers in recent years, calling them "unwatchable" and "a mess" on his podcast, "The Old Man & the Three."

Despite his criticism, Redick is reportedly interested in coaching the Lakers, and he is expected to make a strong case for himself during his interview on Monday.
