Roberto De Zerbi to Leave Brighton After Season Finale
Italian Coach to Depart Premier League Club
Mutual Agreement Reached
Following a successful season at the helm of Brighton & Hove Albion, Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi has decided to depart the club at the end of the current campaign. The decision comes by mutual agreement between De Zerbi and the club.
De Zerbi joined Brighton in September 2022, replacing the departing Graham Potter. In his first season in charge, the Italian coach led the Seagulls to an impressive ninth-place finish in the Premier League, just one point outside the European qualification places.
Brighton have confirmed that De Zerbi's last match in charge will be the final home game of the season against Manchester United on May 28.
De Zerbi's departure will come as a disappointment to Brighton fans, who have been impressed by the Italian's attacking brand of football and his ability to get the best out of his players.
Brighton are expected to begin the search for a new manager immediately, with a number of potential candidates already being linked with the role.
